Promotion ceremony

Lost my voice on Sun, after having a very painful night(sorethroat, nothing else ;) ) on Sat. Woke up in the middle of the night from the pain which felt like knife slivers in the throat...horrible experience!

Then, completely lost my voice on Sun and Mon, 31 Mar 08(though the Dr gave me an MC for Mon, I went back to work as it was the Promotion ceremony. So, no matter how bad a shape I was in, I was determined to sit through the 3hr long event(as I was the 2nd last person to receive the promotion letter from our CE, on stage).

CE congratulated me while shaking my hand and handing me the letter, and I tried to forced a 'Thank You CE' but no sound could be heard. He said 'Congratulations' again as he must be thinking that this lady is sure rude...sigh, bad impression *.*"'
During the lunch break, a number of people congratulated me. I hand signalled to them that I had lost my voice. Hopefully they will pass the msg to CE, haha(as tho he would rem)!!

As of today, I am still having a terrible cough, coughing through the night and through the day. Now, I am on my 2nd dose of anti-biotics. Was on MC Wed and Thu. And I have already taken a number of MCs in the 1st quarter. BAD!

I hope I will recover as soon as possible!! And may I be in the pink of health after this!!!
